Onion pancakes

4 servings

60 minutes

Onion pancakes are a crispy, aromatic dish that comes from American cuisine but has roots in Asian gastronomy. Thin pancakes soaked in sesame oil acquire an amazing flavor thanks to the sweet tenderness of leeks. Their texture combines a crunchy crust and a soft center, and when paired with spicy soy sauce, wine vinegar, and ginger, it creates a perfect balance of flavors. The pancakes are great as an appetizer or accompaniment to main dishes. They are easy to prepare but have a refined taste that will be appreciated by lovers of exquisite yet accessible home-cooked meals.
