Lemon appetizer with mayonnaise and cheese is an unexpected symbiosis of sour-sweet citrus and rich creaminess. Such unusual combinations first appeared in European cuisine due to the desire to experiment with flavor contrasts. Thin slices of lemon softened by sugar acquire a caramel note, while drops of mayonnaise give them a velvety texture. Topped with delicate cheese shavings and nuts, this snack masterpiece becomes a multilayered composition of flavors: freshness, sweetness, creaminess, and a hint of nutty bitterness. It is best served chilled as a piquant detail on the festive table or as a refined treat with sparkling wine. This dish surprises and intrigues, turning simple ingredients into culinary art.

1
We cut the lemon with a sharp knife. The thickness of the slice should be about 3 mm.
- Lemon: 1 piece
2
Place lemon slices on a flat dish and sprinkle with sugar.
- Sugar: 0.3 teaspoon
3
Then put mayonnaise in the shape of a large drop. At the end of the magic, small pyramids will form. Of course, they are not Egyptian pyramids, but they will create a certain lightness due to the next point. You can slightly spread the mayonnaise, making the snack flat and more convenient to eat.
- Mayonnaise: 0.5 teaspoon
4
The next step is to grate the cheese finely and sprinkle it over our slices. You can cover the whole plate or strictly on each slice.
- Hard cheese: 10 g
5
Finally, decorate with finely grated walnuts. There will be pieces of nuts since it's hard to grate them completely. This won't affect the taste.
- Walnuts: 0.3 piece
6
You can decorate with mayonnaise on top, so distribute the proportions in the layers (to avoid it being too greasy in taste).
- Mayonnaise: 0.5 teaspoon
