Pea flatbreads are a traditional dish of Indian cuisine known for their rich flavor and pleasant texture. This simple yet aromatic dish combines the tenderness of pea dough with warm spices like cumin, cinnamon, and black pepper. The history of these flatbreads dates back to ancient times when legumes were a staple in Indian households. They are made by soaking peas, turning them into a paste, and then frying them slowly. After frying, the flatbreads are soaked in a salty solution to give them special softness. They are served with a fragrant yogurt sauce that complements the spices' flavor, creating a harmony of tastes. Flatbreads are perfect as a snack or as an accompaniment to main dishes, especially when paired with spicy and flavorful sauces.
