Baked pumpkin

Baked pumpkin is a simple yet exquisite dish rooted in European culinary traditions. It was prepared in medieval taverns where the aroma of roasted flesh created a cozy atmosphere. Today it remains a favorite due to its natural sweetness and tender texture. Baking at high temperatures caramelizes the sugar, turning the pumpkin into a soft, juicy treat with a deep nutty-cream flavor. Adding butter makes the dish velvety, while a pinch of coarse salt enhances its natural sweetness. It can be served as a side to meat, as a standalone dish or even as a base for desserts, pairing wonderfully with honey, cinnamon or nuts. It's the perfect choice for autumn evenings when you crave something warm, fragrant and cozy.
