Green tomato salad for winter is a vibrant dish of Russian cuisine that preserves the freshness and taste of summer vegetables even in cold weather. The recipe is based on green tomatoes with a tangy flavor that pairs perfectly with the sweetness of carrots, the aroma of bell peppers, and the spiciness of onions. This salad is marinated in vinegar with added sugar and oil, giving it a rich taste and pleasant texture. The dish's uniqueness lies in the fact that the vegetables remain juicy and crunchy while the marinade deepens their flavor nuances. The salad is great as an appetizer for meat and potato dishes or as a standalone side dish. Traditionally, it is prepared in autumn to keep the taste of summer during winter months.
