Bean wedding is a traditional dish of Greek cuisine based on tender fava beans. It has deep roots in Mediterranean gastronomy, where legumes have always played an important role. The dish features a velvety puree texture complemented by the aroma of caramelized onions and tangy capers. The slight bitterness of the capers and the rich flavor of extra virgin olive oil make it truly exquisite. Bean wedding pairs perfectly with crispy bread or fresh vegetables, creating a harmony of flavors. In Greece, it is often served at gatherings and celebrations as a symbol of the simplicity and richness of local cuisine.
