Shrimp with kiwi and lime sauce is an exotic dish that combines the freshness of fruits and the spiciness of jalapeño. Although it is associated with Yugoslav cuisine, it carries influences from Mediterranean and Asian traditions where fruits are often used to enhance seafood. Tender royal shrimp, fried to a golden crust, are complemented by a sweet-sour kiwi and lime sauce that adds zest and refreshing flavor. Cilantro adds an herbal note while jalapeño provides a mild heat. This dish is perfect for summer evenings and festive dinners; it can be served as a main course or as an appetizer in small bowls. The ease of preparation and sophistication of flavors make it a true gastronomic discovery.
