Herring under a fur coat on Borodinsky bread is an exquisite reinterpretation of a traditional Russian dish that combines vibrant flavors and textures. Historically, 'Herring under a fur coat' emerged in the early 20th century as a symbol of unity and strength, while Borodinsky bread, rich in rye aroma, adds depth and spiciness. Layers of soft potatoes, tender eggs, sweet carrots and beets complemented by spicy herring create a harmony of flavors, with mayonnaise binding them together. This dish not only decorates the festive table but also serves as a wonderful appetizer with its original presentation. Finished with a garnish of herring and green onions, it pleases the eye and awakens the appetite. A perfect blend of tradition and modernity!
