Meat and cheese tubes are a hearty and aromatic dish of European cuisine that combines tender beef mince, zesty salsa, and the rich flavor of cheddar cheese. Its origins trace back to traditional recipes for baked flatbreads popular in Spain and Latin America. The crispy tortilla soaked with juicy filling featuring hints of garlic, chili, and onion creates a delightful blend of textures and flavors. Baking gives the dish an appetizing golden crust, while serving it with sour cream and extra salsa enhances its richness. These tubes are perfect for a cozy family dinner or a friendly gathering—they're easy to prepare and their rich taste leaves a pleasant gastronomic impression.

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.

Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Add finely chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté for 3 minutes until soft. Add the minced meat and, breaking up lumps with a wooden spoon, cook for 3 minutes. Add 0.5 cup of salsa, chili, salt, and pepper. Reduce to low heat and cook, stirring, for 10 minutes.
