Chapati is a traditional Indian flatbread that accompanies almost every dish in this cuisine. Its history dates back to ancient times when flour and water were the main ingredients of simple yet nutritious breads. Plain chapatis have a tender texture and a light wheat flavor, while the thin crispy coating after frying gives them special appeal. They are perfect for accompanying curries, vegetable dishes, or simply with melted butter. These flatbreads are an integral part of the Indian table, symbolizing simplicity and comfort, and their preparation becomes a true ritual connecting generations.
