Guatemalan tortillas are a delightful dish of Latin American cuisine that combines flavorful meat filling and spicy sauce. Their roots trace back to traditional recipes of Central America, where corn tortillas became a staple food. The sautéed ground beef with onions, garlic, tomatoes, and hot peppers provides a rich taste, while olives and corn add a touch of exoticism. The finishing touch is melted cheese that binds the filling with the crispy tortilla. The dish is served with a refreshing avocado-tomato sauce and sour cream on iceberg lettuce leaves. Guatemalan tortillas are perfect for both cozy dinners and festive tables, offering a harmonious blend of rich and mild flavors.
