Eggplant gratin is an exquisite dish of French cuisine, rooted in the tradition of baking vegetables with cheese and butter. Its delicate flavor unfolds thanks to the softness of the eggplants, the spiciness of garlic, and the rich aroma of Gruyère and cheddar cheese. Thin slices of eggplant soaked in butter acquire a creamy texture, while baking to a golden crust adds an appetizing crunch. This dish is perfect as a standalone treat or as a side to meat and fish dishes. Gratin can be served at festive dinners and enjoyed for its rich flavor in a cozy home atmosphere.
