Rice and ham pudding is a cozy and hearty dish of British cuisine that combines the softness of rice with the spiciness of ham. Historically, British cuisine is known for its simple yet nutritious casseroles, and this recipe is one such legacy. The creamy texture is achieved through a combination of mushroom soup, milk, and eggs, while basil adds a light herbal freshness. Baking in a ring mold makes the dish not only tasty but also elegant in presentation, especially with vegetables in the center. It’s the perfect dish for family dinners or warm gatherings with friends – it fills you up and gives a sense of homey comfort.
