Mushrooms baked in sour cream with cheese are a classic dish of Russian cuisine that combines the tenderness of creamy notes with the rich flavor of forest mushrooms. Morels are especially good in this recipe due to their unique aroma. The mushrooms are first boiled, then sautéed in oil, lightly dusted with flour to retain juiciness, and soaked in thick sour cream. The finishing touch is baking with grated cheese, which gives the dish an appetizing crust and enhances its flavor. It is best served hot, straight from the pan, enjoying its deep, cozy taste. This is an ideal dish for a quiet family dinner or festive gathering where the warmth of home cooking is especially valued.
