A quick pickling lesson from the Chinese - bruised cucumbers. A very popular snack not only in China, but can be found all over Asia. It is believed that bruised cucumbers absorb the flavors of the marinade better than simply sliced ones.

Prepare the necessary ingredients.

Wash the cucumbers, peel if the skin is thick.

Cut off the ends of the cucumbers and smash them with the flat side of a large knife so that they break into several longitudinal strips.
