Fried Breaded Cucumbers

An Asian appetizer where cucumbers need to be prepared in a very unusual way: they have to be fried. Small and firm cucumbers are best for this recipe: they will release less moisture when fried and will go best with batter. Fried cucumbers in crispy breading will perfectly complement creamy or spicy ranch, sweet and sour, and so on sauces.

Wash the cucumbers and cut off the ends. Slice into 1 cm thick rounds. Sprinkle with salt and let sit for 10 minutes to release juice.
