Appetizer for the New Year's table "Stuffed Herring"

30 minutes
The appetizer 'Stuffed Herring' is a true gem of the Russian feast, perfectly suited for the New Year celebration. Its roots go back to culinary traditions where herring is valued for its rich flavor and tender texture. In this dish, herring fillet is filled with a delicious stuffing of boiled eggs, carrots, onions, and the fish itself, providing each portion with a harmonious blend of salty, slightly sweet, and creamy notes. Mayonnaise and dill add freshness while butter gives the dish smoothness and softness. Chilling before serving makes the appetizer particularly exquisite by allowing the butter to solidify and bind all ingredients together. This delicacy not only delights the palate but also decorates the table with its neat and festive appearance, creating a cozy atmosphere among family and friends.
