Cabbage salad for the winter

Prepare all the ingredients.

Remove the top coarse leaves of the cabbage and discard the core. Cut the cabbage into 2 cm pieces.
- White cabbage: 1.2 kg

Transfer to a large bowl or basin, salt it and sprinkle with sugar. Mix by hand, crushing the cabbage leaves to release the juice.
- Salt: 1.5 tablespoon
- Sugar: 2 teaspoons

Wash, peel, and cut the carrot into thin strips or grate it on a coarse grater.
- Carrot: 200 g

Remove the stem and seeds from the sweet pepper and cut it into strips.
- Sweet pepper: 2 pieces

Heat a pan or saucepan over high heat. Pour in vegetable oil and hold for 30 seconds.
- Vegetable oil: 100 ml

Remove the pan from the heat, add spices to the oil. Stir.
- Coriander seeds: 1 teaspoon
- Ground chili pepper: 3 g
- Allspice peas: 3 g
- Caraway: 3 g

Mix cabbage with chopped vegetables, pour in oil with spices, add pressed garlic and stir.
- Garlic: 3 cloves

Pour in vinegar and mix again with your hands.
- Vinegar 9%: 50 ml
