Meringues on starch

Starch meringues are a light treat from Italian culinary tradition. Their lightness is achieved through carefully whipped egg whites and starch that helps maintain structure. Adding lemon juice gives a subtle tartness that highlights the rich sweetness of sugar. After baking, meringues become crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. This dessert is perfect for decorating cakes, pastries, or enjoying on its own with a cup of coffee. The lightness and elegance make meringues an excellent choice for special occasions and cozy evenings.
