Banana cake with walnuts is a fragrant dessert that combines the tenderness of ripe bananas and the crunchy texture of nuts. This recipe has roots in Greek cuisine, where natural ingredients and harmonious flavor combinations are traditionally valued. The cake is moist, soft, and slightly caramelized thanks to the bananas and butter, while the walnuts add a rich nutty note and pleasant contrast. It can be served warm with a cup of aromatic coffee or chilled to enjoy an even more pronounced flavor. Ideal for family breakfasts or as a treat for tea. The simplicity of preparation makes this cake a favorite choice for home bakers, and its amazing taste and texture make it indispensable on the table.

1
We make puree from bananas. The bananas should be ripe. We mash them in a bowl with a potato masher.
- Bananas: 4 pieces
2
Melt the butter (in the microwave for 20-30 sec). Pour the butter into the banana mixture. Mix thoroughly.
- Butter: 140 g
3
Add sugar, baking powder, egg, and flour. Mix everything well with a spatula. Add nuts.
- Sugar: 130 g
- Baking powder: 1 teaspoon
- Chicken egg: 1 piece
- Wheat flour: 200 g
- Crushed walnuts: 3 tablespoons
4
Grease the cake pan with butter and dust with flour, shaking off the excess.
- Butter: 140 g
- Wheat flour: 200 g
5
Pour the mixture into the mold.
6
Bake at 175 degrees for about an hour. Check readiness with a skewer. If a crust forms but the inside is not ready, you can cover it with foil — shiny side up.
7
After ensuring the cake is ready, we take it out and let it cool in the mold. Once cooled, we carefully remove it and can enjoy the soft and airy happiness.
