Cheese pie with cottage cheese is a cozy and aromatic dish from European cuisine. Its delicate dough, complemented by the creamy taste of cottage cheese and a rich cheese filling with herbs and garlic, creates a harmony of flavors. This pie is an ideal choice for a cozy family dinner or an evening tea party. The history of such pies goes back centuries when baked goods with cottage cheese filling were popular in rural homes. The golden crust, crispy sesame seeds, and warm aroma make this dish a true gastronomic delight. It can be served as a standalone dish or as an addition to a light salad, while its soft texture and rich flavor make it indispensable on the table of every home cooking enthusiast.

1
Cut the butter and melt it over low heat — the main thing is to ensure it doesn't boil, otherwise you'll have to throw it away. Dissolve sugar, salt, and baking soda (not slaked) in the butter.
- Butter: 150 g
- Sugar: 0.3 teaspoon
- Salt: 0.3 teaspoon
- Soda: 0.3 teaspoon
2
Sift the flour and mix it with the butter. (You can skip sifting the flour, but the dough will be less fluffy)
- Wheat flour: 300 g
3
Add cottage cheese and 1 egg there, mix until smooth. Divide the dough into 2 equal parts and put it in the refrigerator while preparing the filling.
- Cottage cheese: 250 g
- Chicken egg: 2 pieces
4
For the filling: grate the cheese, break the second egg, add sour cream, press garlic through a garlic press, add herbs, and mix everything.
- Hard cheese: 300 g
- Chicken egg: 2 pieces
- Sour cream: 1 tablespoon
- Garlic: 1 clove
- Provencal herbs: 2 teaspoons

Spread half of the dough on the bottom of the mold, making small walls for the pie. Add the filling. Make a flatbread from the second half of the dough, cover the pie with it, sprinkle with sesame (optional), and send it to an oven preheated to 180°C for 35-40 minutes.
- Sesame: to taste

Bake until a light golden crust forms. Enjoy your meal!
