Cottage cheese pie with orange zest is a delicate treat from European cuisine that combines an airy texture and fresh citrus aroma. Its history traces back to traditional cottage cheese desserts where the main ingredient—cottage cheese—provides special softness and richness of flavor. The addition of orange zest adds a touch of freshness, making the pie's taste light and harmonious. This dessert is perfect as a standalone treat for tea or coffee and can also serve as a base for creative variations—with dried fruits, nuts, or other fruits. Serving it chilled reveals its true structure and flavor, transforming an ordinary pie into a refined gastronomic delight. The simplicity of preparation makes it accessible even for novice cooks, while its versatility allows for experimentation with fillings and presentations.

Everything is very simple, turn on the oven and preheat it to 180 degrees, put all the ingredients in a container according to the list, turn on the mixer and just mix everything for about 3-4 minutes. Then take a small diameter mold of 20-22 cm, grease it with oil or simply line it with baking paper, pour in the mixture and bake for about 40-50 minutes; if the center looks a bit wobbly, don't worry, it will set nicely when the cheesecake cools.

It must be cooled down because the delicious taste of this product is impossible when hot. Orange zest can be replaced with dried fruits, fresh fruits, or nuts. Additionally, it can be baked on a dough base like in cheesecakes; crush cookies with butter, layer the bottom, pour the cheese mixture on top and bake.
