Quick meat pie is a cozy and hearty dish of European cuisine that captivates with its simplicity and flavor. The recipe is based on flaky yeast dough that creates a crispy golden crust and juicy meat filling infused with the aroma of onions, spices, and herbs. This pie can be prepared in literally half an hour, and its appetizing appearance and tender texture make it an ideal option for family lunches or unexpected guests. The ease of preparation and availability of ingredients allow you to enjoy this dish at any time. The juiciness of the filling is ensured by adding meat broth, while the finishing touch is the browned crust formed by brushing with beaten egg. This pie is good both warm and chilled; it's convenient to take on the go or serve for dinner alongside fresh vegetables.

1
We take the dough out of the freezer and thaw it. I usually take a pack of two layers, as it's easier to thaw.
2
Fry the onion in vegetable oil and add the minced meat.
- Onion: 1 piece
- Ground meat: 500 g
3
Add salt, pepper, and you can include herbs (parsley, cilantro) and other spices to taste.
- Salt: to taste
- Ground black pepper: to taste
4
Fry for about 5–7 minutes. Be sure to leave the resulting broth.
5
Roll out the dough into two equal layers, placing the first layer on a pre-greased baking sheet.
- Yeast puff pastry: 2 pieces
6
It's better to lift the edges of the dough slightly to prevent the juice from leaking.
7
Place the minced meat on top, and you can sprinkle grated cheese on it. Pour in the remaining broth (not too much, for juiciness).
- Ground meat: 500 g
8
Cover with a second layer of dough and tightly pinch the edges, preferably with the seam facing up.
9
We grease with beaten egg.
- Chicken egg: 1 piece
10
Send to a well-heated oven for about 10-15 minutes, until a golden crust forms.
