Winter pie with apples and boiled condensed milk is a cozy and warming dessert, perfect for cold evenings. Its roots go back to European home baking traditions where apples have always held a special place. This pie combines the tenderness of caramelized apples, the aroma of vanilla, and the creamy softness of boiled condensed milk. The crunchy shortcrust pastry perfectly complements the filling, creating a harmony of textures. The taste of the pie is deep and rich with subtle caramel notes that make it particularly appealing. The nut topping adds an exquisite finishing touch. Such a pie will be a decoration for any tea party, and its preparation is an engaging process that reveals the magic of home cooking.

1
Sift the flour into a bowl, add 100 g of diced butter and a pinch of salt. Rub the dough with your hands until it turns into crumbs.
- Wheat flour: 200 g
- Butter: 150 g
- Salt: pinch
2
Add ice water (I put the water in the freezer for 3-5 minutes beforehand) and knead the dough.
- Water: 6 tablespoons
3
Roll out the dough evenly in the form, previously greasing it with a small amount of butter.
- Butter: 150 g
4
Use a fork to make several holes in the dough to prevent it from puffing up during baking.
5
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
6
Line the form with baking paper, sprinkle grains on top for weight (I used buckwheat).
7
Bake for about 15 minutes.
8
While our base is baking, we prepare the filling. For this, put sugar in a pan and place it over high heat, waiting for the sugar to start melting. Use a spatula to spread the sugar evenly in the pan to prevent burning. When you get brown caramel, splash in some hot water and stir to make a thick brown syrup.
- Sugar: 75 g
9
In the syrup, add diced apples, vanilla, and simmer over medium heat until the apples release juice and then the liquid evaporates.
- Apple: 4 pieces
- Vanilla pod: 0.5 piece
10
Add a piece of butter (50 g) and mix until the butter combines with the sugar. Cool down.
- Butter: 150 g
11
Slightly beat the condensed milk with eggs in a blender.
- Boiled condensed milk: 1 jar
- Chicken egg: 2 pieces
12
Place the apples in the mold and pour the condensed milk mixture over them.
13
Bake at 170 degrees for 40 minutes or until the filling thickens and resembles jelly (time may vary! in my oven, 20 minutes was enough).
14
Before slicing, cool completely and sprinkle with crushed walnuts (which can be easily made in a blender) and powdered sugar.
- Walnuts: 40 g
