Sesame Candies

Sesame candies are a refined blend of sweetness and crunchiness, enveloped in the warm aroma of honey and orange jam. This dessert originates from traditional European caramel recipes, where natural ingredients create a rich flavor without excessive sweetness. Amber caramel, carefully brought to perfect consistency, gently coats crunchy sesame seeds, giving the candies a pleasant nutty hue. They can be served as an elegant addition to tea time or as a sophisticated treat for special moments. Thanks to their natural components, they not only delight the palate but also offer light benefits — sesame is rich in minerals and healthy fats. Each candy is a small work of art created with patience and attention to detail.

1
Bring honey, jam, and sugar to a boil and simmer, stirring for 10 minutes.
- Transparent honey: 50 ml
- Brown sugar: 150 g
- Orange jam: 50 g
2
When the caramel turns amber-golden and homogeneous, you can drop a little into cold water. It should quickly 'set' and be soft (not hard) enough to hold its shape after a few seconds.
3
Add sesame. Prepare baking paper.
- Sesame: 60 g
4
Measure the required amount of mass with a teaspoon and shape it. Insert a stick into the caramel on top: add a few more drops of caramel for reliability. Since caramel hardens quickly, it should be warmed up at necessary moments to continue making lollipops. Leave to fully set at room temperature.
