Banana muffins are a tender and aromatic pastry that has become a favorite dessert in European cuisine. Their history is rooted in English baking traditions, but the addition of bananas brings juiciness and natural sweetness to the classic recipe. Made with ripe bananas, the muffins are soft inside and slightly crispy outside. Their flavor harmoniously combines the creamy note of margarine, light caramel sweetness of sugar, and airy structure thanks to eggs and baking soda. These muffins are perfect for a cozy breakfast, afternoon tea, or simply to treat yourself to a sweet delight. They pair especially well with a cup of coffee or hot chocolate and can be topped with nuts or chocolate shavings for added depth of flavor.
