Apple pie on sour milk is a cozy embodiment of Russian home baking, originating from rural cuisine. The sour milk used in the dough gives it a special softness and a slight tang that harmonizes with sweet apples and fragrant cinnamon. This pie enchants with its simplicity of preparation and versatility – it is suitable for both heartfelt tea gatherings and cozy family dinners. Apples baked in soft dough add delicate juiciness to the dessert, while the golden crust makes it especially appetizing. Traditional and warming, this pie perfectly conveys the atmosphere of home comfort.
