A puff pastry pie with berries and fruits is a true embodiment of Russian culinary tradition, where the lightness of the dough combines with a rich fruit and berry filling. Its roots trace back to home baking when housewives aimed to create simple yet elegant desserts from available ingredients. Puff pastry becomes airy and crispy when baked, while juicy cherries, currants, peaches, and pears fill each piece with natural sweetness and a hint of tartness. This pie is perfect for cozy family tea times or festive gatherings, especially in the autumn-winter period when one seeks warmth in something heartfelt. Serving it with powdered sugar adds an extra touch of tenderness and makes it truly exquisite. Its taste is a harmony of textures and shades that creates a warm feeling of comfort and joy.

1
Thaw the dough, leave two strips for separating the filling. Roll out the remaining dough a bit and place it in a greased (with vegetable oil) mold, forming edges. Twist the two strips (that we left) into a rope and place them crosswise.
- Puff pastry: 400 g

We have four separate places for the filling. We place the berries and fruits. If the berries are frozen, add some starch (to prevent them from leaking). Pears and peaches can be sprinkled with sugar. Brush the top of the dough with egg yolk.
- Cherry: 100 g
- Blackcurrant: 100 g
- Peaches: 100 g
