Homemade Pringles Chips
4 servings
40 minutes
Homemade 'Pringles' chips are a crispy and flavorful snack inspired by famous American potato chips. Their story begins with the concept of perfectly flat and crunchy potato slices, realized in this recipe with the addition of oat flour and yeast. Thin circles of dough made from mashed potatoes achieve the perfect texture through frying, with paprika adding a spicy touch. The chips have a rich potato flavor, a hint of buttery sweetness, and spicy accents from seasonings. They can be served as a standalone snack or alongside sauces and dips, enjoying every crunchy bite. A delicious alternative to store-bought options, made with love in your own kitchen!

1
Boil the potatoes like for mashed potatoes.
- Potato: 3 pieces
2
Drain all the water, mash into a puree, adding butter, mushroom seasoning, and spices (except paprika, which we sprinkle on the finished chips at the end). At the same time, dissolve a little yeast in warm water and let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Butter: 30 g
- Spices: to taste
- Dry yeast: 2 g
3
We take oatmeal (without sugar!!). We grind it into flour in a blender.
- Oat flakes: 100 g
4
Add oat flour, egg, yeast, and wheat flour to the cooled puree. Knead a not too stiff dough, it should stick a little to your hands. Let it rest for 20-30 minutes.
- Oat flakes: 100 g
- Chicken egg: 1 piece
- Dry yeast: 2 g
- Wheat flour: 5 tablespoon
5
We lay baking paper on the table, grease it with vegetable oil, take a piece of dough and sprinkle a little flour on top.
6
We slightly flatten the dough on paper, cover it with plastic wrap, and roll it out into a thin layer with a rolling pin.
7
We remove the film and make circles with a glass.
8
In a deep pan over high heat, heat sunflower oil (pour generously, as for frying) and fry the circles! They fry very quickly, literally 10-15 seconds on each side. The main thing is not to overcook, otherwise the taste is lost.
9
When the chips are ready, sprinkle with paprika.
