Cherry and almond strudel is an exquisite dessert of Austrian cuisine, embodying a combination of crispy dough, sweet-sour cherries, and delicate almonds. This dessert originated in Austria in the 17th century, inspired by Eastern sweets, and became one of the symbols of Viennese pastry. Its thin dough rolled to transparency creates lightness, while the aromatic filling adds rich flavor. The cherry provides a fresh tartness, and the almond adds nutty softness, making the strudel perfect for cozy tea time or festive gatherings. It is served hot with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or light whipped cream that highlights its unique texture and taste. This dessert tells a true story in every layer of dough that unites tradition and enjoyment.

Once our dough has rested, we can start rolling it out. After rolling it a bit, place it on a floured cotton towel. Set the rolling pin aside and begin stretching the dough with your hands. Slide your hands under the dough with palms down and gently pull it from the center to the edges. Try to form a rectangle this way. The dough should be very thin so that your hands are visible through it.
