Gingerbread cookies with chocolate are an amazing combination of spicy warmth and gentle sweetness. The roots of this dessert trace back to Italian culinary traditions, where spices and chocolate merge in a harmony of flavors. Ginger adds a slight spiciness and warming effect to the cookies, while dark chocolate contributes depth and richness. The crispy crust with hints of cinnamon and vanilla turns each serving into a true delight. These cookies are perfect for cozy evenings with a cup of hot tea or as a morning treat with coffee. Their simplicity in preparation makes them an excellent choice for family gatherings or festive tables, where each piece delights with its aroma and rich flavor.

1
We take a deep dish, pour in flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, and all the spices. Then we vigorously mix everything with a fork.
- Wheat flour: 3 glasss
- Baking powder: 2 tablespoons
- Brown sugar: 0.5 glass
- Salt: 0.5 teaspoon
- Cinnamon: 0.3 teaspoon
- Ground ginger: 1.5 tablespoon
- Ground black pepper: pinch
- Vanillin: pinch
2
Now we will cut the chocolate into small (or not so small) pieces.
- Dark chocolate: 140 g
3
We turn on the oven, it needs to be preheated to 200 degrees. In the bowl where the dry ingredient mixture has been waiting for us, we add water (or milk) and oil. And we quickly mix everything together. A medium-thick dough is obtained.
- Milk: 1.3 glass
- Vegetable oil: 1.3 glass
4
We mix chocolate chips into the dough. We line the baking tray with parchment paper and lightly grease it with oil. Using a spoon, we place the dough on the tray, shaping it into a more or less round form.
- Dark chocolate: 140 g
5
It's better to place the cookies far apart from each other — they expand in size! Sprinkle each cookie lightly with brown sugar on top.
- Brown sugar: 0.5 glass
6
We send the baking tray to the oven for 15 minutes.
