Milk waffles are a true embodiment of Belgian tradition, exquisitely combining softness and crunchiness. This recipe offers an incredibly tender, airy dough with a subtle vanilla aroma that browns to a golden crust. Thanks to the milk and margarine, the waffles are hearty yet light, while the sweetness of sugar gives them a balanced softness of flavor. They can be served as a standalone treat with a cup of aromatic coffee, adorned with fresh berries or dipped in warm chocolate sauce. These waffles are not just a dessert but a cozy memory of home breakfasts and friendly gatherings. They are easy to prepare but carry the warmth of family hearth in every texture and aroma, making them an ideal choice for any occasion.

1
Melt the margarine.
- Margarine: 125 g
2
Add egg, sugar, vanillin, and mix with a mixer. To avoid lumps in the dough, I first add flour and mix, then gradually add milk. If the dough becomes liquid, I add more flour and dilute with milk. I do this until about 0.5 liters of milk are used. The dough should be like thick sour cream.
- Chicken egg: 1 piece
- Sugar: 200 g
- Vanilla sugar: to taste
- Milk: 0.5 l
