Sausages in honey dough are a fragrant and hearty dish of Russian cuisine, combining tender, airy dough with subtle notes of sweet honey. Its origins can be linked to traditional yeast products where honey was used to add softness and depth of flavor. Baked in golden-crisp dough, the sausages acquire an appetizing browned crust and juiciness inside. The dish is perfect for breakfast, a snack, or a cozy family tea time. It is simple to prepare, and its rich taste makes it a favorite among children and adults alike. Served hot, it pairs excellently with mustard, ketchup, or sour cream.

1
We dissolve honey and dry yeast in warm water.
- Honey: 0.5 tablespoon
- Dry yeast: 1 teaspoon
- Water: 0.3 glass
2
Add sunflower oil and salt.
- Vegetable oil: 1 tablespoon
- Salt: to taste

Then we add the sifted flour and knead the dough. It is necessary to knead the dough well and place it in a warm place for 20 minutes. When the dough has risen, it needs to be kneaded a little more and rolled out into a sheet. We brush the sheet with egg and cut it into long strips (the size of the strips depends on the number and size of the sausages). We wrap the sausage in the dough.
- Wheat flour: 1 glass
- Chicken egg: 1 piece
- Sausages: 10 pieces
4
We take a baking tray, line it with parchment or grease it with sunflower oil, and place it in the oven.
- Vegetable oil: 1 tablespoon
5
Bake in a preheated oven at 250 degrees until golden brown.
