Orange-chocolate muffins are a refined dessert of European cuisine, combining a light texture and rich flavor. Their history traces back to the tradition of baking fragrant muffins that originated in England. The dough base is light and soft thanks to eggs, sour cream, and vanilla extract, while the zest and pieces of orange add a refreshing fruity note. Chocolate chips harmoniously complement the sweet-sour taste, creating a delightful contrast. These muffins are perfect for a cozy tea time or morning breakfast, and their aroma awakens the appetite and provides a sense of comfort. They can be topped with powdered sugar for an elegant finish. A wonderful treat for those who appreciate the balance of citrus freshness and chocolate tenderness!

Carefully cut out individual segments from the peeled orange, freeing them from the membrane. Cut the peeled segments into small pieces.
