Preheat the oven to 190 degrees. Line the baking tray with parchment paper.

Cut the butter into cubes, add self-rising flour, ground almonds, sugar and use a hand blender to turn the mixture into coarse crumbs. Leave a couple of spoons for the top layer and press the rest onto the baking sheet.
