Coconut Pyramids

Coconut pyramids are delicate cookies with an airy texture and rich coconut aroma, covered with a thin layer of chocolate. This dessert, popular in American cuisine, resembles traditional European macaroons but has a richer flavor due to orange zest. Its origin is tied to Americans' love for simple and fragrant homemade sweets. The crispy crust and soft center make it an ideal complement to a cup of coffee or tea. Its ease of preparation and unusual shape allow the cookies to be used for festive treats and cozy evenings. Sweet coconut flakes provide a delicate nutty flavor, while the chocolate glaze adds depth and richness. This delicacy not only delights the taste but also provides aesthetic pleasure.

1
Whip the egg whites with salt until stiff peaks form. Gradually add sugar, whipping until the mixture is thick and glossy.

Cool the cookies on a rack.
6
Melt chocolate in a water bath, add a little milk or cream, stir until smooth, and decorate the cookies with chocolate drops. Optionally, sprinkle with powdered sugar when the chocolate hardens.
