The unpretentious apple strudel is an exquisite blend of simplicity and sophistication. Its roots trace back to European baking traditions but take on a new form through an authorial approach. Tender apple slices infused with the aroma of cinnamon and sweetness of sugar create a harmony of flavors, complemented by crunchy almond crumbs and creamy butter. The thin puff pastry transforms the filling into an airy envelope, while the golden crust adds an appetizing hue. This strudel is perfect for cozy evenings accompanied by a cup of fragrant tea or coffee. And if you add a scoop of creamy ice cream or whipped cream, it turns into a true dessert masterpiece capable of winning over even the most discerning gourmets.

1
Peel the apples and remove the insides, then slice them into even pieces. Crush the cookies (can be replaced with white bread crumbs) into crumbs and finely chop the almonds. Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
- Apple: 3 pieces
- Cookie: 50 g
- Almond: 50 g
- Sugar: 100 g
- Ground cinnamon: 1 tablespoon
2
Roll the dough into a very thin rectangle. If you're unsure about rolling it up without damaging it, you can roll it on a towel generously sprinkled with flour to help gather the pie later.
- Puff pastry: 250 g
3
Place the apples on the dough (towards the side closest to you and a couple of centimeters from the edge), sprinkle them with a sugar-cinnamon mixture, then with crumbs and almonds. Finally, evenly distribute pieces of butter along the entire length.
- Apple: 3 pieces
- Sugar: 100 g
- Ground cinnamon: 1 tablespoon
- Cookie: 50 g
- Almond: 50 g
- Butter: 50 g

The most critical moment is assembling the roll. It's convenient to shape it using the towel on which the dough was rolled out. Carefully wrap the edges of the roll, slightly knead it to distribute the filling evenly, and pinch the edge.
5
Place the roll on a greased baking sheet or one lined with parchment paper and evenly brush with beaten egg, paying special attention to the seam for a nice shine.
- Butter: 50 g
- Chicken egg: 1 piece
6
Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees until golden brown — about 20 minutes.
