50 minutes

Button cookies are a charming treat from Russian cuisine where simple ingredients turn into small works of art. Its tender dough enriched with butter and vanilla sugar creates a soft texture, while the addition of cocoa gives a light chocolate note. The unique button shape not only pleases the eye but also makes the cookies perfect for cozy tea times. Historically, such shaped pastries are popular in home cooking as they bring joy to the preparation and serving process. Light, fragile, and fragrant, these buttons can be served with hot drinks or used as gifts. In each cookie lies the warmth of hands that shaped them and memories of family evenings.
