French shortbread pastry with jam is an embodiment of sophistication and gastronomic elegance of France. Its roots trace back to ancient culinary traditions where delicate shortcrust pastry and fruit jam came together to create a harmony of flavors. The thin crispy texture of the dough, combining the tenderness of butter and a light sweetness of sugar, is complemented by vibrant notes of jam—be it apricot, strawberry or currant. This dessert pairs perfectly with a cup of aromatic coffee or tea, becoming an exquisite finish to a meal. Its simplicity in preparation makes it a favorite among home bakers while its rich flavor is adored by gourmets. Each crumb of this pastry fills the moment with joy and coziness, like an invitation to immerse oneself in the atmosphere of a French café.

1
Grate the frozen butter on a coarse grater.
- Butter: 150 g
2
Add 2 cups of flour, 0.5 cup of sugar, and rub until crumbly.
- Wheat flour: 2 glasss
- Sugar: 1 glass
3
Use any jam for the filling (I took apricot jam, blending it into a smooth mass and adding a little water to spread it easily on the dough). Layer in the baking dish in three layers: crumbs, jam, crumbs.
- Confiture: to taste
