Cottage cheese casserole with plums is a delicate treat that combines the airy texture of baked cottage cheese and the rich flavor of caramelized plums. This dessert has roots in European cuisine, where cottage cheese products are a popular delicacy. The harmonious blend of the casserole's sweetness with the sweet-sour plums makes it an ideal choice for a cozy family breakfast or a light dessert. The creamy structure of the cottage cheese with vanilla aroma is complemented by a thick plum sauce that adds sophistication and expressiveness. Serving it with yogurt and caramelized fruits not only delights the taste but also creates aesthetic pleasure. This dish pairs wonderfully with a cup of aromatic coffee or tea and can also be topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for extra tenderness.

Pass the cottage cheese through a sieve. Beat the egg with 2 tablespoons of sugar. Mix with the cottage cheese, add semolina, vanilla, and baking soda. The dough should be like thick sour cream. Pour into a mold. Bake for 25 minutes. Cool and cut into squares.

Wash the plums, cut them in half, and remove the pits. In a small pot or pan, add 2 tablespoons of sugar, add half of the plums, and sauté over medium heat for about 10 minutes. The plums should soften slightly, and the caramel should thicken a bit. Remove the plums and let them cool. Puree the remaining plums with a blender and add to the remaining caramel, bring to a boil, remove from heat, and let cool.
