Simple tea cookies embody home comfort and warmth. Its roots trace back to European baking traditions where the simplicity of ingredients and ease of preparation were valued in every home. These cookies have a delicate, crumbly texture, and their sweetness is harmoniously complemented by a light creamy note. Perfect with a cup of hot tea or coffee, making the moment even cozier. The versatility of the recipe allows for experimentation with shapes and additions: for example, you can sprinkle the cookies with cinnamon or add a drop of vanilla for aroma. They are quick to prepare, and the result always delights — golden, crunchy pieces of homemade happiness that gather the whole family around the table.

1
We beat the eggs with sugar.
- Sugar: 200 g
- Chicken egg: 2 pieces
2
Let the butter or margarine soften a bit and add it to the mixture in pieces. Mix the mass well with a spoon (you can also beat it with a mixer). Add a small pinch of salt.
- Butter: 200 g
- Salt: pinch
3
We add flour to the mixture, sifting it through a sieve (optional). We mix the dough, dusting it with flour on top, and place it in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes.
- Wheat flour: 300 g
4
We take small portions of dough and roll it out on a floured surface. The thickness of the dough is about 0.5 cm. We cut out shapes from the dough using a plate, molds, or simply a knife.
5
We place our future cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or greased with butter.
6
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees, and only then place the baking tray inside.
7
Bake the cookies for 10 minutes. Sprinkle with sugar while hot, let cool.
