Honeyed pears with spices in puff pastry are an exquisite dessert of European cuisine, combining delicate fruity sweetness with the aroma of Eastern spices. Historically, pears have often been used in cooking due to their juiciness and ability to absorb flavors. In this recipe, the fruits are soaked in honey syrup with cinnamon, cloves, and vanilla, acquiring a rich, warm aroma. They are then wrapped in crispy puff pastry, transforming into a refined treat with contrasting textures. This dish is perfect for special occasions and is served with syrup that adds extra depth of flavor. It can be paired with vanilla ice cream or nut sauce to enhance the gastronomic pleasure.

1
Peel the pears. In a medium pot, dissolve sugar and honey in water. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
- Pears: 4 pieces
- Sugar: 2 glasss
- Honey: 330 g
- Water: 4 glasss
2
Once the sugar has dissolved, add the pears, vanilla pod, half a lemon, cinnamon, and cloves. Boil the pears (until a fork easily pierces them). This may take 20-40 minutes, depending on the ripeness of the pears.
- Pears: 4 pieces
- Vanilla: 1 piece
- Lemon: 0.5 piece
- Cinnamon sticks: 3 pieces
- Carnation: 8 pieces
3
Preheat the oven to 190 degrees. When the pears are soft, remove them from the pot and let them cool slightly.
4
Cut the dough into narrow strips. Completely wrap the cooled pears in the dough. Secure the dough at the edge.
- Puff pastry: 1 piece
5
Place the pears on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
6
Heat the syrup over low heat and pour it into a plate. Place the pear directly in the syrup and serve.
