Olive muffins are a refined blend of French pastry and Mediterranean notes, thanks to olive oil. Their texture is airy and delicate with a light creamy hint, while chocolate chips and almond flakes add pleasant sweetness and crunch. Historically, France is known for its sophisticated desserts, and this recipe is a vivid example of combining traditional baking techniques with modern flavors. Muffins are perfect for morning coffee or an elegant tea party. The added rum gives a light depth of flavor, making them even more special.
