Open orange pie is a bright representative of Italian pastries, infused with the aroma of sunny citrus. This pie is rooted in the traditions of southern Italy, where oranges play an important role in cooking. Its filling made from whole oranges provides extraordinary freshness and a slight bitterness balanced by sugar. The delicate yeast dough made with milk and margarine gives the pie an airy and soft structure. The top can be decorated with dough patterns, adding a special elegance to it. This pie is perfect for family tea time or festive tables, where it becomes a true star thanks to its expressive taste and aroma. It is served warm or at room temperature, often accompanied by a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a cup of strong espresso.
