Orange jelly is a refreshing dessert with a delicate texture and bright citrus flavor. This traditional Russian drink has a slight tartness due to the addition of lemon juice, while cream with hints of cardamom adds sophistication. The jelly is made from fresh oranges and their juice, binding the ingredients with potato starch. Such a drink was popular in ancient Russia when fruit jellies were considered not only a treat but also a means to improve digestion. It can be served warm or chilled, enjoying its soft, silky taste. Perfect for a light dessert after a hearty lunch or as a standalone treat on a hot day.
