Dissolve 250 grams of sugar in 125 grams of water and bring the syrup to a boil. Add lemon juice and boil for another 5 minutes over medium heat.

Divide the dough in half and roll out 2 rectangles. Place one in a greased baking dish. Sprinkle with chopped nuts, sugar, and cinnamon. Cover with the second layer, pressing lightly to adhere, especially at the edges. Brush the baklava with butter and score diamonds with a knife.

Bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 25 minutes, then for another 10 minutes at 200 degrees. Remove the baklava from the oven and drizzle with syrup. Once cooled, cut into diamonds along the marked lines.
