A fluffy pie with juicy poppy seed filling and raisins is a true masterpiece of Russian cuisine, filling the home with coziness and warmth. Its recipe traces back to baking traditions when poppy seeds and raisins symbolized abundance and joy. The delicate yeast dough made with milk and lemon zest creates an airy base for the rich filling. The sweet-soaked poppy seeds harmoniously blend with cottage cheese, nuts, and raisins, giving the pie a rich taste and aroma. After baking, each piece acquires a golden crust, while pistachios add a refined texture. This pie is not just a dessert but a celebration of flavor that is perfect for cozy family tea times or festive gatherings.
