The origins of this recipe date back centuries when greens in pies symbolized spring and renewal. The filling is tender with a light creamy note complemented by the spiciness of garlic and nutmeg. The crispy crust gives the pies completeness. They are served hot with tea or sour cream dressing and are perfect for a cozy family dinner or festive table.
