Spicy sticks with ham and cheese are a gourmet treat of Italian cuisine, combining crispy dough with a savory filling. Their history traces back to traditional breadsticks called grissini, popular in Italy since the 17th century. In this recipe, the classic approach is enhanced with aromatic herbs, spicy chili pepper, and creamy Gruyère cheese, creating a rich flavor spectrum. The sticks are baked to a golden crust and wrapped in thin slices of Parma ham for added creamy depth. Perfect as a wine appetizer, a spicy complement to main dishes, or simply as a standalone culinary masterpiece. Their unforgettable taste and appetizing aroma make them a favorite at any gathering!
