Almond strips are a delicate and aromatic dessert from Indian cuisine, combining the sweetness of sugar, the creaminess of dry milk, and a subtle spicy hint of saffron. Its origin is linked to traditional Indian sweets often made for festivals and celebrations. The almonds used in the dough and for decoration give it a rich nutty flavor and a crunchy texture. The strips turn out airy and soft, almost melting in the mouth. They pair perfectly with a cup of spiced masala tea, highlighting its warm notes. Baked to a golden crust and cut into neat pieces, almond strips become an elegant dessert that can be served to guests or enjoyed in solitude while immersing oneself in the richness of Indian flavors.
